Barbara Kruger Assignment

  1. I think it's interesting that girls, even when they have an abundance of clothes, feel like that they still have nothing to wear because they overthink their outfits. They believe that for every occasion, there is a particular type of outfit to wear and when their wardrobe does not fit that exact description, they get stressed. They also don't like repeating outfits much. Boys, on the other hand, seem much more easygoing with this. They don't seem to have problems even when they only have a few outfits to chose from. Why is this?

  2. It seems that the heterosexist system places men as bearers of a multiplicity of values, whereas women can only derive value from their physicality and its material extensions, sartorial and otherwise.
