My image is a commentary on how our society places a huge value on a number, a dress size that is for women. While other countries fight so hard to reach just a healthy level of nutrition.
This is so true. Society tells women that beautiful is skinny and so women try to get skinnier and skinnier. Some do it healthily by eating and exercising, but some resort to eating disorders and just starving themselves. However, on the other hand, like in the picture, there are many people out there in the world who are skinny and don't eat not because they choose to but because they can't. For those people, looking good and looking "beautiful" is not what's on their mind, but surviving and being able to find something to eat just for that day is. Instead of starving ourselves when we have the means to eat, we need to think about those people out there that are starving not because they want to but because they have no other choice.
